It’s A Mystery…
On February 12th, the children will begin working on a play that will be presented on Palm Sunday. Dr. Luke has discovered a mystery! Along with his assistant, Theo, Dr. Luke heads out looking for clues and talking to witnesses in order to solve the case. The children will rehearse during Children’s Church and Kids’ Klub each week. They will learn a new song to go along with the play. Please encourage your children to learn a part and help us present the wonderful story.
Children & Youth News…
The children have been talking about resolutions, promises and purpose over the last several weeks. We learned that God knows us all by name and how we can become “fishers of men”. Over the next couple of weeks the children will begin working on the Palm Sunday play and talking about love. They will be making Valentines for the homebound and to share with another child. The youth have looked at how social media is playing a part in reaching out to those in their teens and twenties. Our last couple of programs have really caused us to think about who we are, what we believe and how to us that to reach out beyond our church and teach others about God’s love for us. If you’re interested on seeing first-hand what we’re working on or talking about, please stop by and join us!
Please help…
We are looking for volunteers for all aspects of the children’s programs. Help is needed in the nursery, with children’s church, kids’ klub, youth and to deliver the children’s message during worship. Generally volunteers are needed once every 7-8 weeks. If you can help in any way, please see Karen Poulin-Sparnon. Thank you for helping support the children and youth!

Joyful Noise Children’s Choir
Directed by Mrs. Patsy Burris
Assisted by Shari Hanson
Roberta UMC’s Joyful Noise Choir is for our little folks. We welcome all children who wish to sing or make a joyful noise to praise our Lord. Our group varies from just a few voices some Sundays, to a dozen or more on other Sundays. Our practice time is 4:00 during the winter months, until 4:30. IF your child would like to join us, please, drop them off at the welcome center on Sunday afternoons.
We hope to sing more often for our church services and share with our congregation the beautiful sounds that our children make in praising God. We also hope that we can travel to nursing homes and home bound folks so that they may also be lifted up by the voices of our young. God will guide us as we guide our little ones in singing His praises. Patsy and I have been truly blessed with Roberta’s children whom have joined the Joyful Noise Choir. These little folks manage to bring tears of joys and giggles to our hearts….Lord, listen to Your Children singing….
