Roberta Church has been around for over a hundred years, bringing a spiritual presence and a voice for Jesus Christ to the people of Cabarrus County.
We are a church of all age groups and families; we worship and look to our Lord for daily help and guidance; and we do our best to reach out to others through our many ministries.

Forward In Faith
The next couple years will be a key period in the life of Roberta United Methodist Church. Maybe you thought the hard part was renovating the worn out building and adding the new addition. Not at all! The really hard part is becoming the church God wants us to be. It would be so easy to just settle into the old patterns – go to church on Sunday (and it has to be at 10:00); help with a Hot Dog sale once a month; attend the men’s or ladies group once a month; fuss over who didn’t clean up after themselves; and think that we are being a church.
In this new day – Christians are a minority – and the rule of thumb for a thriving, active, Christ-centered church is:
Outreach, Outreach, Outreach.
Now is the time to begin to think how everything we do as a church is connected to reaching out to others for Christ. Now is the time for each committee and group in the church to “rethink church” – how can we be part of this new movement of Christians who make Christ the center of our lives; help spread that good news by thought word and deed; and make our church an instrument of Christ in this struggling world?
That, my people is moving Forward In Faith, and with that as our guiding light, God will give us the victory.
Trading Places
Our Trading Places study is underway, and we are looking at different Bible heroes as a way of growing in our faith. So far, after an introduction about the basics of our faith, we have studied Ruth, Joseph, and Moses. In the coming weeks we will look at Samuel, John and Paul. Understanding and striving to be like the heroes of our faith is essential in each one of us becoming the person God created us to be. See you in Sunday Worship!
