I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to
Him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

                                                                                                                       Psalms 34:4-5 NLT

How often do we find ourselves in a tough position and need a way out? David found himself in
one of those situations when trying to run from Sol. He thought perhaps creating an ally with
Sol’s enemy was the answer.

What do you do first when confronted with one of life’s challenges? Most of us start to look for
a way to solve our problems. “I can do this or talk to that person” when the answer is right in
front of us. Let’s learn from David and turn to the Lord first. Ask him to show you the way, to
give you guidance. God works in mysterious ways, and we need to trust in him. Perhaps he will
put someone in your path who can help. Maybe he will plant a seed and through your works,
the problem will be solved.

Next time you find yourself in one of those situations, pray about it and be open to God’s
guidance. Let him take your worries away.

In Christian love,

Pastor Chad
